Expanding on UX/UI interests
Having learned a bit about UX/UI Design, I wanted to take my interests for a spin with an external project. This curiosity led me to SheInnovates where I worked with a team of three to develop a tool combatting mental illness. My role focused on the UX/UI of the product while the other team members took on software development and managerial positions.

Understanding our user
After defining our problem space, we began to hone in on our persona of interest within this problem space. We began curating this persona while researching common frustrations found with products currently in the market. Leveraging our skillset in app development and user-centered design, we began to flesh out what our ideal product might look and feel like.

Plugging into Moodlet
Based on the user research and rough ideation sessions, I developed the following wireframes with UI centering around a playful theme that would feel light-hearted and comforting. The app offers various resources and incentives for users to utilize the tool to track progress and advocate for emotional awareness. Additionally, while other apps possess similar features for interactivity and shared values, our app differed for its application to a specific area. This locality offered benefits such as available references to local care with its tighter, less nuanced, user range.
